Poor listening is a leading cause of miscommunication both at work and at home. Skillful listening, on the other hand, results in a better understanding of what everyone around you is "really" saying and in being the "good ear" that people inevitably need in life.
In Listen Up!, participants will acquire skills to improve how they listen and to enhance relationships. A self-assessment helps pinpoint which areas need development and how to overcome the emotional, mental, and physical barriers that impede good listening. Participants also learn how to interpret nonverbal communication and to use appropriate responses using nonjudgmental phrases.
There is no prerequisite for this course.
