Business Skills for Human Resource Professionals Certificate Program

For human resource professionals to move up the career ladder, it's no longer enough to be knowledgeable about human resource areas. Now you're expected to be a bigger player in the strategies and logistics of your organization. To do this, you need to feel comfortable in a variety of areas, including finance and budgeting, strategic planning and deployment, project management, and communications.

This certificate program offers you the opportunity to become better versed in business fundamentals. Core courses cover the topics mentioned above, while electives allow you to choose courses within or outside HR that best meet your specific needs.

This certificate program will help individuals who hold the PHR or SPHR designation acquire 46.5-60 required recertification credits. The following courses will also satisfy the 15 hours in the strategic management functional area required for SPHRs.

To qualify for this certificate, complete four core workshops and two electives for a total of six workshops. You may choose the courses that best match your specific goals, and complete the certificate on your own schedule.

No prerequisites are required for this certificate.

Complete five courses, and register for the sixth one at a 50 percent discount (maximum value $142.50)*.
