PDC and True Solutions, Inc. (TSI) have updated an interactive program designed to give participants a solid foundation in the concepts, tools, and techniques of project management. In today's business environment, organizations must develop project managers who can complete individual projects on time and within budget. UT Austin's comprehensive program covers the five key process groups and core competencies associated with effective project management practices.
The Project Management Certificate Program covers the full cycle of project management, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closing. In addition, it emphasizes the essential human aspects of leading a project team when using PMBOK concepts and practices. You will acquire a solid foundation to help prepare you for the PMP® or CAPM® exam.
Program curriculum is based on the Project Management Institute's (PMI®) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), fourth edition. This certificate focuses specifically on the practical and successful application of project management skills in the business world. It is not a preparatory course for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) examination.
PDC is an approved Registered Education Provider (R.E.P) of the Project Management Institute (PMI®). TSI is a globally approved R.E.P. of PMI®. For more information on PMI's certification requirements, visit the Project Management Institute's Web site.
Those with less than two years experience in project management should take PDC's Managing Projects workshop or have taken an equivalent program with another PMI registered education provider.
