Project Success Skills Certificate Program

Soft Skills Drive Solid Results
Project management primarily focuses on technical aspects: cost, quality, scope, work breakdown structures, planning, control, etc. However, these skills are not sufficient in themselves to minimize risk and ensure a successful project. It's the negotiations, presentations, endless meetings and conflicts among team members that consume so much time and energy. This program provides a range of soft skill tools and techniques that project managers can use to reduce the people-related risks and overcome interpersonal hurdles.

This certificate program includes workshops developed specifically for the needs of project managers who need to complement their professional experience with skills that will facilitate project success. You'll have the chance to develop skills that will make you a more effective project leader.

Who Should Attend
  • Established managers who need to enhance their people and team management skills, as well as gain a greater understanding of interpersonal skills
  • Executives, managers, and directors who have not recently been exposed to "people management" training and wish to develop and upgrade their competencies and skills in this area
  • Technical specialists and functional managers who need to achieve a better balance between their technical expertise and their people management capabilities
  • Certified Project Management Professionals (PMP) who wish to fulfill PDU (Professional Development Units) requirement for re-certification
Certificate Requirements

To qualify for the certificate, you must complete four core courses and two elective courses. Choose the workshops that best match your needs, and complete the certificate on your own schedule.

Please note that the list of core and elective workshops has been modified. If you began this program before September 1, 2009, you may apply either the new or old cores or electives to this program. Some certificates share the same workshops. Students pursuing more than one certificate program may only transfer one workshop.

No prerequisites are required for this certificate.
