Principles of Marketing Certificate Program

Marketing is a difficult concept to define. It entails so much more than advertising a product or service, running focus groups, or developing a tag line. Because marketing is driven by customer needs and decision factors, competitive environment, and economic forces, it is connected to strategy and research, product development, distribution, and assessment.

Principles of Marketing Certificate Program explores the diverse facets of the marketing process, from defining your customer base and setting strategy to developing new products and using technologies to the fullest. You will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of marketing, including research, branding, and marketing planning.

There is no prerequisite for this course.

Who Should Attend
  • Marketing professionals with fewer than three years of experience
  • Professionals outside of marketing responsible for some marketing duties or who plan to take on more marketing responsibilities
  • Small business owners
Certificate Requirements

To qualify for this certificate, you must attend a minimum of 80% of the classes, and complete a group project concerning a marketing plan.

No prerequisites are required for this certificate.
