Managing without Authority

You just took on a new project you must manage with a cross-functional team, but you have no authority over your team members. You give no performance appraisals, and your team members report to other managers. How do you make it work?

Develop the skills required to handle just such a scenario. Lead without having a managerial title, foster trust among your team members, and complete the projects you manage.
