Social Opportunities

UT FORUM™ SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
A volunteer committee of UT FORUM™ members plans and organizes several events during the year designed to provide a relaxed get-together where members can become better acquainted.

END-OF-SESSION DINNERS
At the conclusion of each six-week session, members gather for a social event at a restaurant, a theater, a ballpark, whatever the membership survey indicates would have broad appeal.

FIELD TRIPS
Several times a year a field trip, often by bus, to a local attraction, or to one in a nearby city, is offered to UT FORUM™ members.

UT THOMPSON CONFERENCE CENTER SOCIALIZING
The lunch break between the morning seminars and afternoon lecture offers a great opportunity for UT FORUM™ members to meet new friends in the Thompson Center cafeteria. Early-risers gather in the cafeteria for breakfast and/or coffee before the first seminar begins at 9:15am.

SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
Small group activities, usually once a month, are offered through informal Special Interest Groups. These include two Restaurant Adventures groups; Live Theater; Hiking/Walking; Film First; Art Lectures; and Book Club.

NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY UT FORUM™ is one of several UT Osher Lifelong Learning Institute groups that join forces for a multi-group New Year's Eve dinner-dance party at the Alumni Center.
