The Dynamics of Interstate Boundaries
In 2008 Cambridge University Press will publish his book on border control. The case studies include historical and contemporary borders in the Middle East, Central and South Asia.

In this ongoing research project, he examines the behavior of the Turkish High Court and its verdicts on terrorism, secessionism, and political extremism. The study spans the 1960s to the present and aims to understand under what conditions judges expand and curb state authority. It is a study in both institutional evolution and state security.
