Program Description
UT LAMP™ (Learning Activities for Mature People) offers 36 large-group lectures, one study seminar, and one member-presented lecture per each six-week term; there are three terms per year (fall, winter and spring.) Membership is limited to 500, and members may attend any or all of the presentations; each presentation lasts an hour. Participants meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in a large conference room. During each week of the session, lectures are given by experts in their fields from one of six categories: business, creative world, history, lifestyles, public affairs, and science & technology.
The annual fee of $180 covers Tuesday - Thursday morning lectures, a Tuesday afternoon seminar, a Wednesday afternoon member-directed presentation, and an occasional Thursday afternoon tour to local places of interest. The annual fee also includes three end-of-term dinners.
